Veselko Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Hi everybody, How to set a default value of some global field when application is on server? To describe closely: App is on server. Field format of that global field is Radio button set, and display 3 values from one Value list: a) one, : two, and c) three. Every time I've log in, default value is b)two, and I want to change that default value to some another [ i.g. c) three]. I read one tip about it on FileMaker Advisor http://my.advisor.com/articles.nsf/aid/12129 , but seems that tip does not work properly on FileMaker Server 7 on Windows. Any suggestions? TIA Veselko
Ender Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Either set the value of the global while the file is not being hosted with server, or set the default value in the file's opening script.
Veselko Posted April 7, 2005 Author Posted April 7, 2005 Just try it (seting the default value in the file's opening script) and works great!! Thanx for help from sunny Novi Sad, Serbia.
