ADO.NET Provider for FileMaker Pro

I am trying to write a Data Connector for FileMaker Pro using ASP.NET. I have used respective ADO.NET drivers for other connectors for MSSQL, Oracle etc., and wondering if there is any ADO.NET provider (from FM or even third party) available in the market.

If not, I guess using ODBC is my best bet. There are several postings about writing applications using ODBC, but does anyone know of any code-sample around?

Also, according to most of the readings, ODBC driver that comes with FMP is known to be too slow (?). What are my options here? Is sharing the DB through "Instant Web Publishing" and accessing hence shared data through ASP.NET a better option from performance point of view?

I appreciate any help / suggestion in this project.

Thank you,

Raja.

PS: The ASP.NET data connector that I am writing (that outputs RSS/XML) will be used by a Search Engine to crawl all the records from the FMP DB. The ASP.NET application implements paging and the Search Engine asks one page at a time.

I'm not aware of any ADO drivers for FileMaker. I've searched this out a few months ago, and came up empty handed. However, please feel free to search again, I may of not searched hard enough. I've only built small web pages in ASP that use the ODBC drivers. While it does work, it did seem rather slow for the small application I wrote. Which seems in harmony with what others have said about the slowness of the ODBC drivers.

Thank you for the reply.

Do you know if 'Instant Web Publishing' of DB could lead me to a better solution? Also, are you aware of any code-sample around for accessing ODBC from ASP?

Raja.
