Hello-

I have a database that has addresses. How can you make a field that would combine the text values of individual fields (like a merge)?

For example, I have fields for "Street No." "Street" "City" "State" and "Zip". I'd like to have a calculation field called "Full address" that would combine all of these separate fields into one.

For calculations, I have tried "Street No." "Street" "City" "State" "Zip"

"Street No." + "Street" + "City" + "State" + "Zip"

"Street No." & "Street" & "City" & "State" & "Zip"

and other combos, but to no avail.

I searched for this in the forum, but did not come up with any relevant threads.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance for any help...

You were close. Do not enclose field names in quotes. Literal strings will need to be enclosed in quotes (adding spaces between the fields).

An example calc:

Street No.&" "&Street&" "&City&" "&State&" "&Zip

Add any punctuation needed such as commas between the quotes.

Also, make sure your calc results to text.
