April 19, 200520 yr You can import a "merge" file, extension of ".mer", which would be the names of the fields, separated by commas (no quotes needed). No returns, no data needed (but could be, also comma-separated, with quotes). But that's only going to work for table 1; in other words, import the above to create a new FileMaker file, and get named fields.
April 19, 200520 yr Yes! Did you want to know how? The field names needs to be the first line or record. Read about the File Formats that FileMaker can import and export to, in either the Online Help or FM Manual, and then select the one that maches the text file format you have. HTH Lee
