Fenton Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 You can import a "merge" file, extension of ".mer", which would be the names of the fields, separated by commas (no quotes needed). No returns, no data needed (but could be, also comma-separated, with quotes). But that's only going to work for table 1; in other words, import the above to create a new FileMaker file, and get named fields.

Read about the File Formats that FileMaker can import and export to, in either the Online Help or FM Manual, and then select the one that maches the text file format you have. HTH Lee
