I must have gotten stupid since the last time I worked with FMPro but....I am not able to put just a basic radio button on my layout. When I select Field Format;Radio Buttons, it makes me select a value list. I have fields such as"Yes" and "No" and a radio button next to it. All I want to be able to do is click on the button and move on. Help!

You must create a Value List based upon that yes/no field and then set your radio button to use that Value List attached to your yes/no field.

Oh yes, one other thing ... you don't need two fields (one for yes and one for no). The field should contain either value.

You should have one field and a value list of Yes & No. That is way it has been since FMP 2. I didn't use any prior versions.

I'm confused. I made a value list named Yes & No. I typed in yes, hit return, typed in No. I then selected the field, went to Format, selected format field;radio button using Yes/No value list. I then went to Browse mode and tried selecting the button but nothing happened.

Also, I have 6 things which need a radio button. Am I using the same value list for each one? but each one should be its own unique field, correct?

Yes, you can use the same value list (yes/no) for different fields. The value list is only a method for consistently inserting specific data in a field - any field.

What you've described should be working for you. If you double-click the field, what relationship and field name is assigned? You're using a Custom Value List, right? And the field you are attaching to is a standard text field, right? Does it have clicked allowing user to enter field (in Field Format)?
