Defaulting Dictionaries

I am using Filmaker server 5.5 with FMP 6. After several sessions my dictionaries default back. I have repeatedly changed the dictionary on both the client and the server. I have stopped the server and changed the dictionaries and yet eventually they revert back. There are other preferences that default back as well like the beep on mispelled words that I have tried to turn off. What's going on here?

Interesting... What OS is this on? On Windows there are default prefs stored per machine. They are only used though if someone new logs into the machine. On a per-user level the prefs are stored in the registry section of that user.

Is this consistently happening on multiple machines or only on one machine?

I am using Windows 2000. This is a continuous problem and it does happen with other applications occasionaly too. It will happen every time I log off and then back on and it sometimes happens simply by closing the applicaiton and opening it up again without logging off.
