Defining fields to contain an initial value

Featured Replies

I don't seem to be able to get my fields to contain an initial value. I've tried Checking the Data option under Auto-Enter when defining the field but the data doesn't show. Where am I going wrong (apart from trying to build a database in the first place!)?

hi sari,

If I'm understanding you correctly, the Auto Enter Function will only work on newly created records. If that isn't happening, let us know.

To enter data in the already created records, you will need to do a find for those records and make them your "Found Set", then use the replace [color:"blue"] Menu >> Records >> Replace . Or, you can script a replace.
