stuck on a find script

Featured Replies

i'm trying to write a script that finds all the records matching a category chosen from a list and then displays the found set in the directory layout.

it kind of works, but doesn't always find things i know are there, and i don't know why the merge field doesn't show, so i've probably done the set field step incorrectly too.

please help!

thanks

Take off the Restore option in the Perform Find[] script step. You can't restore with a calculated result within the Restore option itself. Using the Set Field[] while in Find Mode will do this.

forgive me for sounding dumb, but i don't see a restore option anywhere in the perform find [] script step. i thought i WAS using the set field [] step while in find mode, so i guess i still don't understand what you're trying to say.

thanks

With the Perform Find[] script step selected, uncheck the "Specify find requests" checkbox.
