stefanshotton Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 I have created a send event script to automatically print a referenced file held within a container, works fine and dandy for some files and not others. Have realised that if the refenced files name has spaces in it ie. c:Smith Mortgage Application.pdf the send event script only looks for smith and generates this error the file c:Smith could not be found Has any one any ideas on a work around or am i looking at another dead end? Thanks
BobWeaver Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 I'm not a Windows expert, but I recall someone recommending that you enclose the file name in quotes when it contains spaces.
stefanshotton Posted May 4, 2005 Author Posted May 4, 2005 HMM, the filename that i am opening/printing is contained within a field and have not figured out a way to enclose a scripted field within quotes, it just prints then the field name not its content. looks like anothe filemaker brickwall
