pulling numbers from a txt+numbers field?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm merging 4 postal address databases together, and I'd like to pull into a new field some postcodes from a field which contains both 'postcode' and 'suburb'. (btw: I'm running FM pro 5.0 on the mac).

Gods I hate being a newbie ... it reminds me of the first time I had to ask a html question ... *sigh*. wink.gif" border="0

Any help appreciated - Cheers,

Any help appreciated - Cheers,

Assuming that there are no numbers in the suburb information and the postal code comprises entirely numbers, this should work:

Post_Code=NumToText(TextToNum(PostCode_and_Suburb))

I hope I understand the question correctly -- I looked to your subject line for a clue to the answer.

BTW, nothing wrong with being a newbie. I come from a long line of newbies. smile.gif" border="0
