Unable to host database

I have a database that I am hosting on my company's intranet, my boss added 2 fields yesterday and now i am unable to get the database out of a closed status. The 2 other databases are running fine. I have stopped and re-started Filemaker server several times. I checked Local Filemaker server Admin. and Start all Filemaker Server processes is active. I am at a loss - am i missing something - this isn't the first time he has made changes, but its the first time we can't get the database back to a normal status.

Help - and Thanks ahead of time

Check the event logs for more info. Typically it is problem of privileges. Check the manual for the correct ones. Don't know them off the top of my head but it's something like: fmserver needs to be the owner, fmsadmin the group. (but do check the manual)
