I have multiple tables in a database and am wondering if there is a way to format the window to the specific size of the particular table. At the moment, when I open the database, there is often different amount of white to the right and on the bottom, and I want the window to be tight to the layout.

Thanks!

Script step - Adjust Window [Resize to Fit]

Include it in your Layout Switch script.

You indicate vs. 7 on this post. Search here for many posts on windows sizing. With vs. 7, you can totally control your windows handling - specifying the exact size and placement if you wish.

If your windows won't resize down, it means you have objects to the right which cause it to stay open at that size. Resize the body by dragging it up to decrease overall height. Best to create a test file - and start playing. It won't take any time at all to have those windows jumping at your command. wink.gif

Do I have to script this into the opening of hte database then? For instance, the window that it normally opens to, will just be opened through the opening of the file?

Thanks,

Sarah, this post doesn't indicate 7 but your first did. I assume you're asking about vs. 7. Window-handling varies between the versions.

Either way, you can create a Startup script and then in 7: File > File Settings, When Opening File Perform Script (this startup script). In versions less than 7, it's in Edit Preferences, Document.
