Newbies Eaguilar Posted May 12, 2005 Newbies Posted May 12, 2005 Newbie here.... I'm creating a student database and would like to keep students' enrollment history. One of my tables is an "enrollment" table with the fields: student ID, enrollment date, grade, teacher, school name, and departure date. Students in our district leave and come back multiple times during the year so I need to keep track of every new enrollment date, grade, teacher, school. What's the best way to do this? I've searched the forums but I haven't found anything. Help!!!
Ender Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Welcome Eaguilar, There are plenty of discussions about student enrollment systems in the forums, but you may have to go back a good six months. Try searching the Relationships forum and the Relational Database Theory forum for Enrollment. If you don't find enough info there, then perhaps you can give more details about what you will be tracking. Will there be some things that are the same for all enrollments for the student for the same school year? Do you need to link Enrollments to Attendance or Grades at all? How are the classes set up: is this like an elementary school where each teacher only has one class, or does each teacher have multiple sections for different hours in the day, like high school?
