Hi,

I have seen and enjoy a few dossiers on the comparison of Filemaker with other tools, mainly databases (Access, Servoy,...). SOme issues are drown in order to find a few referential points in which those software tools may be compared. Learning time, developing time, language complexity, project duration, interface issues, etx

I need a dossier with FIlemaker 7 vs. Java-based software. A client has been commented with the last time buzzwords (java, internet, platform independient, easy customization...) and is thinking in continuing some new applications in java. Needless to say that most of its achivements may be get with FM7 and my task is to give him some light in this area.

Is here any structured document -as it can be found with Access- comparing the strong points and the weak ones between Filemaker 7 and Java-based software?

If not, any experience from anybody will be very wellcome.

Thanks
