Custom Dialog script step

I'm planning on upgrading from plain FM7 to Server Advanced. Will I then be able to use the Custom Dialog script step in IWP? If not, how can I send a customized error message without having to make a custom-made layout?

Does Server Advanced in general allow script steps in IWP that plain FM7 doesn't allow? If so, where can I find this info? Does Custom Publishing allow mscript steps that IWP doesn't?
