Some databases show up, others don't in IWP. Help!

Featured Replies

After pulling most of my hair out, I finally got FileMaker Server 7 Advanced working with Instant Web Publishing. I made a test database and successfully accessed it.

Then I added several other databases to the server. Some I can access fine, others I can't access, and others don't even show up.

In the FileMaker Server Admin Tool, all the databases have a status of normal.

In the Web Publishing Admin Console, only some of the databases show up, but they all have a + under IWP.

I have 5 databases working fine. Another one shows up, but asks me to login. It won't take my username and password. I activated the guest account, but it still asks me for a username and password.

From what I can see, there are no differences between the databases I am trying to host. Is there a setting somewhere I've missed? If anyone can help with this, I sure would appreciate it.

One thing to check is to make sure that the fmiwp extended privilege enabled, also make sure that it's enabled for the privilege sets that you'll be using to access via iwp.

That was it. My mysterious databases that didn't show up didn't have any of the accounts in the iwp privilege set. The databases that did show up but that I couldn't log into had some accounts in the iwp privilege set, but I was trying to login with an account not in the set.

Thanks Reed.
