Hi All,

I have a very large text field with more than 400 or so characters in it. I have the field maximized to take up most of the size of the screen but it tends to cut off the bottom part of the field and so therefore the person reading the big text field reads only the first 25 lines or so before it doesnt allow the viewer to see more of the text field unless you tab into the field or use your mouse cursor to click into the field. I hope this makes sense. Does anyone know a way around this without making the big text field into multiple fields?

Thanks!

If there's more text in the field than the field can hold, you won't see it all (kind of a no-brainer, really). You can reduce the font size and the line spacing. You can also go into Field Format and add a vertical scroll bar. The scroll bar won't be active unless you're in the field, but at least someone looking at the field will see that it exists, and think that maybe there's more info in the field than is showing.

Seems to me that 400 characters shouldn't take more than 25 lines unless the field width is very, very short (16 characters per line ain't much). Maybe making the field wider would help too.

Lrger field, small size font, or use the layout tools to draw an ersatz scroll bar that when clicked sends the cursor into the field activating the regular scrollbar.
