Hi there,

A guy in the Middle East contacted me to get one of my solutions translated in Arabic. He sent me a font. See the attached font to this query.

I installed that font in the font folder. The guy sent me back a few words translated in Arabic in a Word document. I saw the Arabic alphabet below my words. So far, so good.

In the main menu, I pasted each word to replace those used by my solutions. I also replaced the Arial font by the Arabic Transparent font. When I switched to the Arabic font, I noticed the word gets smaller but remains as it is (no arabic alphabet). When I pasted the Arabic words provided by my customer, the alphabet switched to question marks (:? ?? :?). I thought after installing the solution on his PC, the question marks would switch to Arabic alphabet but it is not the case.

On the other hand, I selected a field in layout mode to display Arabic Transparent instead of Arial. When the guy typed in information, Arabic displayed perfectly.

Any idea on how to solve the issue of pasting Arabic into a word object?

For guys who would want to make a few attempts, see the attached Word document. Install the Arabic font before opening the file. Then you will see Arabic words.
