I am trying to authenticate to a Filemaker DB both over the internet and locally over a LAN. I have tried to authenticate from both Windows 2000 and OS X. I have also tried to administer the DB remotely with FM Server on Windows 2000 and OS X.

This DB is my clients DB and we have been asked to do some updates to the system. From HIS OS X system we can login, but using the same login information from any other machine produces the generic "The account and password you entered cannot be used to access this file. Please try again."

Help!!!

When you log in from his system do you actually type in the account and pw or is it stored in the keychain?

Could be that what is stored in his keychain is different than what he thinks the account and pw is...

Windows does not have a keychain...

But, no, from all systems windows and mac the entry has been made manually.
