Duplicate record with portals. Need Help.

Featured Replies

I can see from previous posts that duplicate a record an its related portal records is possible. I was hoping that someone might have a sample script. I have invoices that sometimes need to be duplicated and adjusted. I have all of the records related by an invoice number. Each invoice typically has two related records. I have an Idea of how it should work but this is a little above my scripting knowledge.

Thanks for any help!

More recently I have made it for me. Attach not big part of your Invoice and Lineitem file i will try to help you.

It would be difficult for me attach part of this database. I just need a idea of how to assemble the script.

Thanks

I saw this as an opportunity to play with disconnected TO's to avoid the use of globals entirely...

But if you're on 6.0 as you profile says, can't it be done that way but instead this way:

But if you're on 7.0 take a look at the attachment ...almost the same algorithm, but here sans globals!!

--sd

InvoiceDupe.zip

Thanks! Your idea is new for me - duplicating from last record.

I was not looking for it, but when my eyes fell upon it I was happy to discover this fine solution falling from heaven, very useful.

Thank you S

I am also looking for a solutiont like this, but I use 7.0... can you tell me more about disconnected TO's?

I'd like to avoid a looping script if I can.
