Using an external list of items to perform a find

Featured Replies

Please feel free to tell me if I'm crazy to think that this can actually be done! My office uses a fax broadcasting system to distribute posters of missing children for law enforcement. At the end of every Fax Broadcast, we receive a report via email with all of the fax numbers that were either disconnected or a voice answer was detected. These fax numbers along with the entire corresponding record need to be deleted from the distribution database so that they are not attemped again. The problem is that these lists can get very large sometimes in the hundreds. I was wondering if there was a way to search throughout the database using the items on the list. I guess it would involve importing the numbers into a global field, I'm just not exactly sure how to go about doing that I spent all of last night trying to figure it out on a test DB with absolutely no luck. The database that I have set up in Filemaker is basically ???

Company Name

Country Code

Phone Area Code

Phone Number

Fax Number Area Code

Fax Number

Fax Number as Dialed (which is in this format: Country Code & Fax Area Code & Fax Number. "14082961113")

Is there any hope?? Or are we forced to keep performing a find by typing in each fax nmber to be deleted? ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated.
