Newbies sintaks Posted June 8, 2005 Newbies Posted June 8, 2005 I work in an enterprise, multi-domain environment: A root domain and three child domains. I've gotten external authentication to work for any users in the root domain. However, any users residing in child domains aren't authenticated. This is a HUGE deal. FM support said they "designed it that way." Um, why? I figured I'd check here to see if anyone has a work around. I really don't want to administer a set of FileMaker users... I really want to use SSO. If anyone has any info, please let know. You can hit me at [email protected] as well as replying to this post. Thanks all!!
Wim Decorte Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Make sure to log this as both a bug and feature requestion on the FM website. The only workaround I can think of is to add the child domain groups/users into the relevant root domain groups. Not sure if it would work, but it's about the only thing you can try. Or add the child domain accounts/groups to local groups on the FMS machine itself.
