How do I go about it??? I have the following three fields " Week number, Clock number and Trip number" when a record is created and week number and clock number are the same, In trip number field enter the week number and a increaseing letter A,B and c for each time this is done.

See attached for one method. I am confused though, because you will end up with several duplicates, as the attachment shows. Or are the duplicates not an issue? Also, you are limited to 26 identical week-clock number combinations.

You still end up with duplicates though, if you use a different clock number in the same week. Is this not a problem?
