Crashing

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have a database that keeps on crashing when people access it via the web. I have not been able to narrow down the problem yet. I can't tell if it's the CMDL stuff or the database itself. I know this is a bit vague, but can someone suggest some trouble shooting steps? when it crashes it won't open up via the web, but it's still open on the Filemaker server and all of the other database work via the web.

Thanks,

Jaser

If you are using FM6 you may need to install the latest version of WebCompanion (same for FM5).

Good Luck.

Thanks, we are running FM5, I will try to update it. It is very weird it seem like it happening only when this one person accesses it via the web though.

Ok, the WebCompanion was current. Any othter suggesting on troubleshooting this? Like I said I have more that a dozen other databases on the server and it's only this one that is crashing? Last thing, when it crashes it will open via FileMaker but not via the web (web link). Think it could be the code, although is wasn't an issue before.

Thanks,

Jaser

It may be corrupt. Hence, make an empty "Clone" then import the data into the Clone.

All the best.
