jca Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Hi! I made a FM6 runtime application. I never had any error like this one before... I really don't know what to do. Anyone has ever gone through this before? I joined a screenshot of the error msessage. Thank you! Error message: "This is FileMaker Pro Release 6.0. "Plant_guide_V2" was created by version ?.?? of FileMaker and cannot be opened by this version. Please contact the developper of this solution."
Lee Smith Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 It is unclear to me if you are trying to do this using Developer 7 , and I haven't tried to convert Runtime in v7 yet. So, if you are using Developer 7, skip the rest of this. I think the message is saying that it doesn't recognize your file extension as a .fp5 file If not, my guess would be, that you are going to have to use Developer in v6 to revert the files to Non-Runtime, add the .fp5 extension. Then convert to v7 I think.
jca Posted June 16, 2005 Author Posted June 16, 2005 thanks Lee. actually, this error happens to one of our customer that bought our software application. Its a runtime solution so there is no need to have FM installed on the machine.. the files have *.usr extension.
