portal not showing data

Featured Replies

i have a simple portal that has two fields "item" and "price." i can input data into the portal but everytime i hit enter whatever is in the portal disappears. also when i click outside the portal data also disappears. the same thing happens when i create new records.

does anyone else have or had the same problem?

thanxs for any suggestions

Hi NewbieHere,

I'm unsure without more information, but it sounds like you are breaking your relationship by changing your unique key. When the relationship breaks, the record will disappear. Is that Item field what your relationship is based upon?

Is the record disappearing or just data in the field itself? How is your Field Behavior set up? It's possible (although unlikely) that you are putting a carriage return before the data and it's moving down one line (out of sight)?

I suspect a broken relationship here though. smile.gif

the portal is in a relationship form two different relationships, ::Item=Product and ::Price=Product2. i have three other fields on my db were nothing happens (the data stays put). when i type something into the fields and click somewhere within the portal nothing happens, as soon as i click outside the portal or hit enter the contents of the fields disappear.

i have included a copy of my db, if you have time you can check out whats wrong
