How do I set up a script to toggle a checkbox?

A little more information please. What are the values? If they are 0 & 1 use the not. Set field (Checkbox; Not Checkbox)

Ok i HAVE 48 CHECK BOXES WHICH IS 4 SETS OF 12 MONTHS EACH ONE IS ALSO A BUTTON SO WHEN I PUSH THE BUTTON IT IS NOT MARKING THE SQUARE IT IS IMMED. RUNNING THE SCRIPT AND NOT CHECKING THE BOX AS WELL. bECAUSE OF SPACE CONSTRAINTS i HAD TO MAKE EACH OF THE 12 MONTHS ITS OWN FIELD AND ITS OWN CHECK BOX. sO WHAT i WANT IS TO PUT THE FIRST STEP OF THE SCRIPT TO EXECUTE THE MARKING OF THE DESIRED CHECK BOX.

And yes it is just an off and on but I am not familiar with checkbox script step you mentioned!

If each button activates the same script, pass a parameter to that script which identifies the selection and run a series of If tests which set the correct field based on the parameter.
