Help Understanding Conditional Portals --

Ok everyone, I need some help understanding what is going on with trying to make a portal appear and disapear with a calculation.

I have done it once before but I must have change something now it does not work...

Can someone explain to me in detail how to make these kinds of portals....

Example like tring to hide something like a sigunature block on a contract when its is not needed.

Create a Calc Field in FileA (call it record constant) with the calc being 1, then in FileA create a Field (call it record) then create your Self Joined relationship in FileA (record constant) to FileA (record).

You could have a button that when clicked would put a 1 into record, then the portal you have created around the field would appear.

See the Attached file. I know its crude but you shoul get the idea.
