Jarvis Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 I have a series of SET FIELD scripts which set the value in a name field based upon which button is pushed. For example: If the button that says SKIPPY is pushed, the name SKIPPY shows up as the worker's name. I also have a global text field called: WORKER OF THE MOMENT. Value in this field is equal to whatever name button was most recently activated. What I would like to do is select a name button then perform a FIND for all records with that name. Is there a way to perfom a find with criteria from a global field? Thanks for any help. Jarvis FINDWORKEROFMOMENT.fp72.zip
Jarvis Posted June 26, 2005 Author Posted June 26, 2005 just did more research. You cannot use a Global field as criteria for a Find.
RalphL Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Why can't you enter the find mode set field [Name, Worker of the moment] Preform find ? True, you can't do a find on the global field Worker of the moment.
Jarvis Posted June 26, 2005 Author Posted June 26, 2005 Ralph, You have just joined my list of filemaker hero (and heroine) s. Thanks a bunch! Jarvis
