I would like to be able to use my database on both a mac and a pc, as I split my time between both equally, however each time I try open up the file on the mac, after copying the database onto a cd from the pc, it keeps telling me it is a

zip the file before copying. Unzipping the file will get you the right privileges (like you get when you save the file out of an email).

Windows and Mac use a completely different permissions system.

Also, you can just do Get Info on the file on the mac, and make sure that you have read and write privileges for the file... if not just change it.
