BrianKL Posted February 15, 2002 Posted February 15, 2002 My question is pretty simple. How do I define a key field. I keep reading about key fields, but no where have I found HOW to define them.
Chuck Posted February 15, 2002 Posted February 15, 2002 A key field is simply a field, usually a number of text field, that uniquely identifies each record in the file. This is usually accomplished by definining a number field with auto entry options to auto fill with a serial number that increments each time a record is created. Once you have a key field, you can then use it to relate records to other databases. Chuck
