Server closing one database file, but not others?

Featured Replies

I have a FM server7.03 running on an Os X.3.9 box, serving half a dozen files.

At random (as far as I can tell) intervals, one of the files suddenly showes up as closed when I check in the admin app (or is unreachable when accessing over TCP/IP through clients).

It affects only one file, always the same, so I suspect something is corrupted with this file, although it behaves just fine when I work with it, or there is a setting I am not aware of.

I have an automated backup script that runs twice a week, but I have not been able to see a clear relation with finding a closed file... and it never closes while I am working on it.

It sounds like a corrupt file; import the data into a known safe clone, redeploy the new file onto the server, and see if the behavior continues.

I have seen this happen. In my case it was a corrupt script. Every time the script was executed the database would close on the server. I deleted the script and recreated it and everything was fine.
