Hey all,

I'm just putting some scheduled backups into place, but every time I go back to check on them, I find them disabled, and not having run the backup.

I see nothing wrong with the setup I'm doing ... has anyone ever seen this problem?

Thanks!

Neil

Welcome Neil,

Check the event.log file to see if there's any useful info about why the backup didn't run.

You may have an incorrect destination path. Or maybe the schedule is not enabled.

I've got the same problem. I'm running FMSA 7 on 10.4.2 now (not Server) and the one schedule that is straight into the default ../Data/Backups/ folder is running as expected.

But the extra mid-day backup schedules I created are not. The path is valid at the time I create them, and they stay enabled. But no files are written into the folders. The event log simply says:

Backup aborted. Invalid backup destination: "filemac:/FMSA7-Tiger2/FMSA_backups/pathtest/"

At first I thought permissions. Checked and changed things to ensure the fmsadmin group had Read & Write permissions on the destination folder (pathtest), then failing that, moved up the tree to set the same for the parent (FMSA_backups). Still no luck.

When I had this running under Panther I wasn't having this kind of resistance. Any ideas?
