Importation with filemaker dev. version 7

Hi

I have filemaker dev. version 7

I have problems importing datas from the same file

Example:

The name of my file is LOGIK

I have many tables :D CUSTOMERS, SUPPLIERS, TASK....

I would like to import from the customers to task, and from the suppliers to task...

I created 2 differents scripts but the problem is:

My scipts takes in memory my last import only, but I need 2 differents importations.

With the version 6 it's easier because I save my importation on my script.

What do I need to do with the version 7 because I dont have the same options than the version 6.

Thanks you for your help!

I fail to see why you would want to import data between these tables. I think you have a structure problem. As a general rule data should only be stored in one place. As with all rules there are exceptions.

In pre 7 versions you had to have a script for each import, I haven't tried to do more than one import in a single script in 7. Maybe someone else can add to this. What could you do in 6 that you can't do in 7?

I wonder if what you want, can be achived with an auto-entered calculated value or a look-up.

In v.7, ALL the import settings can be saved in the Import Records script step. You can put several imports in the same script. Just make sure you specify the 'data source' and 'import order' parameters.
