OK Here is what I want. I need a way to add a note on a new line without deleting any of the old information. I have included a stripped clone of my File I am using it in. PLz help me solve this issue.

Hi mentairia,

I really would suggest going relational with your notes. It will allow much more flexibility. And, down the road, sure as eagles fly, management will want a list of notes only taken by certain people - or certain dates - or ...

See attached for ONE option ...

You can get fancy but I wanted to keep it simple for demo purposes. And I use 'Allow Creation' to create your notes. I prefer disallowing new portal record creation without script most times; but if the need is simple, the portal can be designed thus. If you want fancier (allowing new record in one single line ABOVE portal; or within portal), we can do that too. And if you REALLY need to keep an audit-log type single field, we can do that ... but I wanted you to know that it's very limiting in its use. If you have existing Notes, we can help you parse them into records to fill this new Notes table in no time!

Your skills appear to be above this level ... however, sometimes the simpler things don't pop into our minds as quickly as we'd like. I keep having to be reminded to think more simply instead of convoluting everything with all possibilities in the Universe! If it doesn't work, just toss the idea.
