Hello FM People

i need to find ina database in FMP5Mac

all records starting with the same initial letters (all the ones starting with a then b and so on) but only the initial of a text field in a db of 35000 records.

I am not able to do!

Try this...

Create a calculation field with the following calculation: Left (textfield, number). Replace the "textfield" with the name of the field you want to search on, then replace the "number" with the number of caracters that you want to search.
