Slobey Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 I thought I would be able to find something on this but no luck (my search skills are not the best). Is there a way to eliminate the last empty portal row. I have a solution with a portal on a layout that I don't want to appear like it is a portal. The layout in question requires some editing and I only want the user to be able to edit the records that are visible and leaving a blank one on the bottom would allow them to enter something into it. Thanks in advance
RalphL Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 The empty last row in a portal only appears when the relationship is set to allow creation of related records. Change your relationship and the empty last line will disappear.
Slobey Posted August 9, 2005 Author Posted August 9, 2005 Thanks for your reply, The problem I have there is that I need to create those portal rows in a different layout. Can I make a duplicate relationship without the creation allowed, or will that screw something up?
Reed Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 if you read this post you will see a way to create related records using a separate relationship, and have them appear in a portal w/o using the portal to create them. Dana
