you can create a check box field with only one value in the value list right?

i KNOW i have done this before but all of a sudden when i try to do it and go to do a find on all the checked boxes, i get the error message that it is an invalid data request.

any help anyone can give me would be appreciated.

Create a text field

Create a Value List to put your word in it.

Attach the value list to your text field

One possibility is that the data type of the field does not reflect the format of the value your value list is using.

If, for instance, you try to do a find on a number field using a text value - even if there are records with that text value present in the field, you will get an invalid request error.
