container dilemma

Featured Replies

I am looking for suggestions and a possible solution to my problem.

Here is the goal: I manage a small club, and am creating a database of bands that has all of their contact info, a container with a picture, and a portal to another database that contains all of the attendance and sales data from everytime they have performed at our club. What I want, is another container that contains their music files that I can listen to as I am looking at their data.

I have been able to place 1 song at a time in the container, as quicktime, but I don't like this solution, because the container appears empty unless you click on the field, then you get the quicktime control bar.

Does anyone have a suggestion of a more elegant way to achieve this?

Is it possible to have a script that will launch iTunes, and filter all of the songs by the band name field?

Thanks

That sounds like a job for a "Perform applescript" step. The Mac OS X Script Editor's dictionary shows entries for iTunes with commands for searching the music library, playing songs, etc.
