How to make value list display more than 16 values

Featured Replies

I have a value list that is populated with values from a field.

This field holds about 30 values but the pop up value list will only display 16 without additional scrolling.

Is there a way to increase how many values can be displayed at one time without scrolling?

Thanks,

Jarvis

Can you change it to a popup menu instead?

Sam,

I like that.

Thanks!

But is it proper layouting to provide more than 10 choices to choose from?? Couldn't the data be grouped in smaller chunks that can be selected from via a tabbed layout.

This URL was disfunc'ed when I tried to find the reference:

http://www.smallco.net/RestrainYourself.pdf

But it's an brilliant article on the nice-to-know/need-to-know balance all applications have in various ratios.

Unfortunately does developers have a tendency, in vanity to seek wrapping the organization around their application ...where it ideally should have been the other way around. Don't bother you users with ungrouped and badly organized data!!!

Soren,

I'd love to be able to group this data into smaller chunks.

What do you mean by "tabbed layout"?

I have seen that expression but I am not certain what it means.

There are plenty of ways to choose from:

Soren,

Thanks for the direction.

I spent a little time with the video this morning.

Tabbed Layouts are just the interface I'm looking for.

Thanks again,

Jarvis
