Simple Time Billing problem

Hi, I don't have any experience with FileMaker, but I'm trying to help someone out.

Using the standard Time Billing template that comes with FileMaker, let's say I have a database with hundreds of line items (Day/Project/Customer...) across dozens of Employees.

I would like a table that takes each unique Customer field (regardless of which Employee it was entered under), and then lists each unique Project for that customer. I need it to be more than just a report, because to the right of each of those entries we would like to add two other fields tied to that combination.

For example, if we had

Employee 1-

Day: xx/xx/xx, Customer: A, Project: 11

Day: xx/xx/xx, Customer: B, Project: 20

Employee 2-

Day: xx/xx/xx, Customer: A, Project: 15

Day: xx/xx/xx, Customer: B, Project: 20

etc., then I am thinking the new table would be something like

Customer: A

Project: 11, Field1: abc, Field2: def

Project: 15, Field1: ghi, Field2: jkl

Customer: B

Project: 20, Field1: mno, Field2: pqr

as two separate records. The contents of Field1, Field2 would be entered later.

I am hoping this is simple for many of you, but unfortunately, it isn't for me! Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
