Hi,

Sorry if this was already discussed before but I'm new to this forum and searching the forums didn't provide me with an answer.

My problem is that I want to substitute a single quote ' with another string.

Neither of following worked:

Substitute("","'","")

Substitute("","''","")

Substitute("","'","")

Does any of you have an answer?

Is your file set to use smart quotes (in File -> File Options -> Text)?

OK found it myself (thanks to other topic in this forum) Apparently with "smart quotes" when you type ' on the keyboard it is not the ' character but another single quote (don't know the exact name for that one)

Edit: comment, thanks for the reply. Smart quotes is indeed turned on.
