file creation error

Featured Replies

We're running multiple copies of FMP5.0 on a MS2003 network. THe main DB is on the server in a shared folder. All machines are XPPro. Though relatively new to us, this environment has been stable for more than a few months.

We have multiple copies of a script that generates a small export file for each field rep daily. This file contains records for the customers that field rep is going to contact the fllowing day.

Everything has worked fine until recently and still runs fine from my machine. However, on the dispatchers machine up front, even if I log on with my FM credentials, I get an error stating " could not be created on this disk. Use a different name, make more room on the disk, remove write protection or use a different disk."

This happens on 3 out of 12 files trying to be created. The remainder are created with no problems.

Any ideas here?

PS - I've attached a copy of the script below

Check out the file and user privileges for the Dispatchers machine. The clue is in "remove write protection or use a different disk"
