Custom Calcs. that act like Calcs..

I defined a custom Calculation using Dev-7 hoping that I could use it everywhere, just like the "normal" calculations. But no, it seems that the calculation is file specific. I can only call it from the file that was open when I wrote it.

Am I missing something here?

A custom function lives in the file. This enables you to create a custom function, and send the file to a user that does not have Developer (or even Filemaker, if it's a runtime).

If you have custom functions that you would like to have "built in", consider making yourself a template file.
