How can I number pages at the bottom of a columnar report, starting at 1 and ending at whatever the number of pages are? I have looked into the footer options and I can't see a way to do it, although I would think it is easy. Do I need to define a field for it? What would the calculation be?

In Layout Mode click in your footer. Go to Insert on the menu bar. Choose Page Number Symbol. Format it, move it where you want and thats it.

Huh? I looked for an insert function in my menu bar and found nothing. I am using version 4.0, is that where I am having trouble using your method? Any other ideas? Much appreciated...

In 4.x and earlier it is the Paste Special function of the Edit menu.
