September 12, 200520 yr I created a FMP6 runtime in 10.4 it worked fine. I created a zipped file of the solution and put it on my iDisk to finish it off in the office. When I unzipped the file on 10.3 at the office, all of the icons are generic. The main file (the one that is usually of type 'Application' is also generic. Then I try to open it, it asks what application do I want to use to open the document. It is supposed to be the application it opens itself. Pointing it to FMD didn't work either. I can open the database file in FMD fine. Anyone else seen this type of behavior? Is there a documented (or undocumented) problem zipping run times in 10.4? or am I just crazy? TIA Jerry
September 13, 200520 yr Weird. The BOMArchiveHelper changed in Tiger. I did a search of a couple of sites for differences between 10.4 and earlier in the BOMArchiveHelper (the CoreService that does the compression/expansion for OS X) and didn't find any info about whether or not its compression algorithm/format changed.
