Your eyes do not deceive you… you in fact have read the title correctly. FMPug has four (4) copies (that’s $2000 worth of database heaven) of FileMaker 8 Advanced (FM 8 Advanced) to be given away in October! The drawing will be open to ALL FMPug members who wish to stake their claim on the goods. The drawing will take place the first week of October -- plenty of time to enter your name into the proverbial hat!

However before we get all ‘grabby’ with the product(s), FMPug has one small, itsy-bitsy caveat: For all those FSA Associates/Partners among us and/or those persons who have already purchased their copy of FM 8 Advanced, we implore you to resist the urge of entering to allow someone who has yet to experience FM 8 Advanced, a chance to win.

Heck, we just want to spread the crazy-8 love!

Now FMPug would like to give a shout-out to all those fence sitters out there; to all those girls & boys who have been dilly-dallying around & have yet to take the Pug-plunge….. it’s time to jump off your collective duffs & join! C’mon, as a member you’ll have access to this drawing (which in itself is worth the cost of membership) in addition to full-on, VIP access to each & every Pug Perk available.

Want to know more about these so-called Pug Perks? My pleasure...

The 4 chances to "Advance" your development drawing is now closed for registrations. We received a great response from all and we are now processing the entries. Some of the responses for why you should win a free copy are very amusing and we will post these shortly (anonymously of course!).

We will post the winners on the FMPug website (http://www.fmpug.com) early next week.

The registrations for the '4 Chances to "Advance" Your Development' closed with a flourish on the last day of September, with many of you putting your name in the mix. It was encouraging to see so many people taking the time to tell us why they felt they should receive a free copy of FileMaker 8 Advanced. In fact, some of the responses were so good we just felt we had to share.

A small collection of our favorite reasons are listed below for your reading pleasure (we kept it anonymous to protect all parties concerned!);

  • "My office life is horrendous, my marriage life is daunting and I'm confident the only thing to get me on the road to recovery and straiten my life out is a free FMP8 Advanced. Oh and did I tell you about my time with the psychologist? Well,..."
  • " I would of course bark like a happy dog and would no longer drool on the sofa anytime FM8 Advanced is mentioned should I win which would make my wife happy as well."
  • "Convert stubborn Access adherents from our district PTA who need to see the simplicity and benefits in managing their large names databases"
  • " Because mine is lonely. Everyone should have a mate. Even software."
  • "I will use my copy of FileMaker Pro 8 Advanced to reduce global warming.

It solves so many of the little annoyances I have had with FileMaker for years I won't be overheating nearly as often as without it.

Save the ice caps - Advance me right away!"

And so, without further ado...I would like to present the winners of our '4 Chances To "Advance" Your Development' competition. The prize, a copy of FileMaker Pro 8 Advanced to each of the four lucky people.

The software was donated by FileMaker Inc and I would personally like to thank Mike Alvarado for sourcing these for us.

In no particular order, the winners of a copy of FileMaker Pro 8 Advanced are...

Heath Bishop - Randall Miller - Phil Robertson - Stephen Van Ness

Congratulations to the winners and for those who did not win now is the time to get your copy.
