look up in own database

Featured Replies

I am setting a product database with standard item name; sku; description...

Since these are clothes, I would like to add suggestions to the same record. A second sku and name field would be added, in which I can type a sku and the name would appear in its own field. So I would like it to look up in its own database. Is this rediculous or is there a better way?

I'm not sure I can decipher the question. If you are asking how to make the SKU description for an associated item appear when you enter its SKU here is how.

Call the fields:

SKU

Description

AssociatedSKU

Create a relationship called SelfJoin with AssociatedSKU matching SKU. Place the related field SelfJoin: :Description on the layout.

When AssociatedSKU is entered, its description will appear.
