info from another record

Featured Replies

can you display information from another record within the same database?

for instance, a record of clothing information which has a price and sku, decription and a picture. That product, which may be a shirt, goes with pants. I would like to lookup those pants by sku and have the rest of info display, all on the same record which contains the shirt.

Related records are related records, matters not which file they reside in. Setup your relationships and portals as normal.

What you are doing is more properly called a self-relationship and they are used all the time.
