I can't seem to remember how to do this. Must be my first 'senior moment' ???

I have a client running FMS 5.5 on XP

They recently received a new license to increase the number of users from 40 to 50.

Since I did not physically do the license install, I would like to double check it was done.

Question One; How do I see the current registration number? In FMP client I can go to the 'About FMP' drop down and see part of the registration code. On the Server Console, the about FMP box is quite uninformative.

Question Two; Most importantly I want to know my user limit before I reach it. How do I see my licensed limit? I know I can right click on the FMS icon select properties and go to the 'Guests' tab. However this isn't the LIMIT as determined by the license. For example, in this install I have set the limit to 56 and restarted the server. No errors or warnings seen. The license limit is 50. So I guess that I wont get a error until person 51 logs in, even though the Console says 56. Maybe the console number is only used to divide out system resources and isn’t connected to the license?

How can I find out the license number and user limit?

Don't confuse the number of simultaneous connections allowed by FileMaker Server (up to 250) with the number of seats authorized by the license. They are not the same thing.
